Graduate Collection - The Unveiling

The unveiling is my graduate collection. It based on the persona of humans that they put up to try and convince others that they are the perfect humans. This collection shows the deterioration of the person outer shell “Unveiling” there true underneath person, which in this case is a very dark nauseating person. The collection uses many techniques and practices such as pleating, laser cutting, and fabric printing. The layering up of these techniques is to resemble the layers of the person that are slowly coming away. The pleating created rib, and spinal like features that were carefully fitted into the garments to really give that raw underbelly feeling. Mixtures of different weighted fabrics were layered on top of each other creating unusual hanging effects. The collection is quite dark but very meaningful and exciting, with true though that no mater how much you try you will not be able to lie about who you really are and eventually the cracks will begin to show.
