Top Shop - East meets West

East meets west is a collection designed for Top Shop that is based on the coming together of culture and technology. Within this collection the merging of the traditional Japanese Geisha clothing, which is soft, oversized while covered in beautiful colours and prints were combined with the harsh lines of geometrical shapes. From this the designs develop through layering of shapes, patterns, colours and prints. The techniques of the large over sized sleeves from the kimono mixed with modern day fabrics created a new and exciting look to the clothing. The concept brings together two completely oppositional sides to create some picturesque in the end.
